Hi
Bob,
I bought three calls from you early this year. The fellows and I went
duck hunting here in Idaho. I was the only caller and I used your call
excluively and in two hours we shot 28 ducks, 19 green heads, 7 hens,
1 drake pintail and 1 gadwall. Which is four limits here in Idaho. Your

CUSTOM
DUCK CALLS & GOOSE CALLS BY HAYES CALLS |
Bob
started hunting with his Uncle Gene when he was 12 years
old and was hooked on duck hunting from that day on. When
he was 13 years old, Bob and his two buddies wanted to buy
a duck call so the three of them gathered and sold pop bottles,
did errands and anything they could do to save money. They
finally came up with enough to buy a call and the first
thing Bob did was tear it apart to see how it worked. After
he found this out they made a visit to the city dump where
they found a couple of old chairs with a few round legs
still attatched to the seat of the chairs. Bob and his friends
gathered up the items and took them home to start making
his first duck call. He borrowed a brace and a bit from
a nice neighbor man and drilled the holes in the legs to
make the barrels, the tone channels were hand carved from
the cross braces and the reeds were made from brass shims
that were given to him from the man that ran the old town
blacksmith shop. This first call was a little crude but
sounded pretty darn good go his ears. Now that each of them
had a duck call Bob was hooked and wanted to make more but
soon realized that there wasn't enough time in the day to
work, hunt and make calls. Being an avid hunter, Bob wasn't
about to give that up and work had to be done to pay the
bills so call making was out of the question for now. Soon
after retiring in 1995 Bob started making his dream come
true by making duck calls, short reed goose calls and adding
turkey calls a short time later. Bob started selling his
calls on E-Bay and to a number of local hunters and now
has sold calls in every state in the good old USA, Canada,
and Mexico. Bob continues to sell calls on E-Bay and takes
numerous phone and mail orders and has received excellent
feedback from his buyers regarding his calls. |
